Emergencyoperation-opening
Unlockthedriver’sdoorwiththekeyatthedoorlock.Opendoorwithin20secondsandinserttheignitionkeyintotheignitionlockwithin10secondstopreventthealarmsystemfrombeingtriggered.
Noteonoperation
Ifthedoorisnotopenedwithinapprox.20sec-onds,automaticrelockingtakesplace.Thealarmsystemwillbetriggeredbythenextunlockingofthedoor:
Inserttheignitionkeyintotheignitionlocktoswitchoffthealarmsystem.
Emergencyoperation-closing
Lockthedriver’sdoorwiththekeyatthedoorlock.Ifthereisadefectinthecentrallockingsystem,allfunctioningelementsofthecentrallockingsystemwillbelocked.Thealarmsystemisswitchedon.Thepassengercompartmentmonitoringsystemisswitchedoff.
ThefaultshouldberemediedimmediatelyatanauthorizedPorschedealer.

Iftheremotecontrolisusedforunlockingorlocking,aresponseisprovidedbytheemergencyflasher:
–Unlocking-singleflash.
–Locking-doubleflash.
–Lockingtwice-continuousilluminationforapprox.2secondsandshortalarm-hornsignal.
Centrallockingswitch
Thecentrallockingswitchonthedashboardletsyoulockandunlockbothdoorselectrically.
Note
Ifthedoorsarelockedwiththekeyorremotecontrol,theycannotbeopenedbypressingthecentrallockingswitch.
Locking

YourauthorizedPorschedealercanprogramdiversetypesofautomaticdoorlockinginthecontrolunitofthecentrallockingsystem.
Type1
Doorslockautomaticallywhentheignitionisswitchedon.
Type2
Doorslockautomaticallywhenaspeedof3-6mph(5-10km/h)isexceeded.
Type3
Doorslockautomaticallywhentheignitionisswitchedon.Ifdoorsareopenedwiththeenginerunning,theylockagainautomaticallywhenaspeedof3-6mph(5-10km/h)isexceeded.
Type4
Thedoorsdonotlockautomatically.
Note
Automaticallylockeddoorscanbeunlockedwiththecentrallockingbuttonoropenedbypullingontheinsidedoorhandletwice.
OnvehicleswiththeSportChronoPackagePlus,thePCMcanbeusedtoactivateautomaticdoorlocking.

Overloadprotection
Ifthecentrallockingsystemisoperatedmorethantentimeswithinaminute,furtheroperationisblockedfor30seconds.

Doors
Automaticloweringofthedoorwindows
Ifthedoorwindowsareclosed,theywillbeautomaticallyopenedbyafewmillimeterswhenthedoorsareopenedand,whenthedoorsareclosed,theywillbeclosedagain.Thismakesiteasiertoopenandclosethedoorsandprotectstheseals.
Therefore,youshouldpullthedoorhandleslowlysothatthedoorwindowcanbeloweredbeforethedoorisopened.

Unlockthevehiclewiththeremotecontrol.
Thealarmsystemandpassengercompartmentmonitoringsystemareswitchedoffautomaticallywhenthedoorsareunlocked.
Functionindication
Ifthealarmsystemisactivated,light-emittingdiodeAonthedashboardflashes.
If,afterlocking,thelight-emittingdiodedoesnotflashor,aftertenseconds,itemitsdoubleflashes,thennotallalarmcontactsareclosed.Additionally,abriefhornsignalsounds.
Whenthedoorsareunlocked,thealarmsystemandpassengercompartmentmonitoringsystemareswitchedoffandthelight-emittingdiodegoesoff.
Whenthealarmisarmed,thefollowing

Ifoneofthesealarmcontactsisinterrupted,thealarmhornsoundsforapproximately3minutes.Additionally,theemergencyflasherandthepas-sengercompartmentlightflashforapproximatelyfourminutes.Whenthealarmistriggered,thelight-emittingdiodechangesovertodoubleflash-es.

Deactivatingthepassengercompartment

Ifapersonoranimalremainsinthecarwhileitislocked,thepassengercompartmentmonitoringsystemmustbeswitchedoff.
Quicklylockcartwice.Thedoorsarelockedbutcanbeopenedfromtheinside:
1.Pullinnerdoorhandleoncetounlockdoorlock.
2.Pullinnerdoorhandleagaintoopendoor.

Presstherockerswitchupwardstothefirststageuntilthewindowhasreachedthedesiredposition.
One-touchoperation
Presstherockerswitchupwardsordown-wardstothesecondstage.Windowmovestoitsfinalposition.Pressagaintostopthewin-dowinthedesiredposition.
One-touchoperationforclosingthepassenger’swindowisavailableoncethewindowisapproxi-matelyhalf-wayclosed.
Anti-crushingprotection
Ifthedoorwindowisblockedduringclosing,itwillstopandopenagainbyaboutaninch.
