7. Tighten the bolts and nut after the adjustment.
Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in..lbf)
8. Install new cap.

9. w/ Pre-collision safety system:
Install the millimeter wave radar sensor with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in..lbf)
10. w/ Pre-collision safety system:
Connect the connector.

Preform the initialization (see INITIALIZATION).

Inspect the SRS warning lamp (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
).

Adjust the millimeter wave radar sensor (see ADJUSTMENT
).

OVERHAUL
HINT:
The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation
procedures requiring additional information are included.
A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see STANDARD BOLT).

1.REMOVE HOOD INSULATOR
a. Using a clip remover, disengage the 10 clips and remove the insulator.
2.REMOVE HOOD TO RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
a. Using a clip remover, disengage the 13 clips and remove the seal.
3.REMOVE AUXILIARY CATCH RELEASE LEVER ASSY
a. Disconnect the snap and remote control rod No. 2 in the direction indicated by the arrow marks in
the illustration.
HINT:
If snap are damaged during removal, replace them.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and lever.

4.REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE
a. Remove the 6 bolts and inside radiator
grille together with the outside radiator grille and radiator

grille protector.
b. Remove the protector.
c. Remove the 8 screws and inside radiator grille.
d. w/ Pre-collision safety system:
Remove the 4 nuts and radiator grille garnish.

5.REMOVE HOOD AUXILIARY CATCH HOOK ASSY
a. Remove the bolt and hook.

Separate the battery negative (-) terminal.
b. w/ Pre-collision safety system:
Disconnect the connector.
c. w/ Pre-collision safety system:
Remove the 3 bolts and millimeter wave radar sensor.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

e. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and lock.
f. Disconnect the hood lock control cable.
g. Disconnect the connector.

9.REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the nut and cover.

10.REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSY
a. Remove the 2 screws and lever.
b. Disconnect the hood lock control cable from the J/B.

11.REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSY
a. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the cable clamps as shown in the illustration.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
