Secure and connect the sel ect or lever cable.

Inst all t he s upport bracket.
T orque: 25 Nm 4.
Inst all t he A/C compress or mounti ng bracket .

5.
Connect t he batt ery ground cable and ins tall t he cover.
Refer t o: Specificati ons (414-00 Bat tery and Charging Sys tem -

If a new component has been ins t al led, configure usi ng Land Rover
approved diagnos t ic equipment .

Remove t he cover and dis connect the bat tery ground cabl e.
Refer t o: Specificati ons (414-00 Bat tery and Charging Sys tem -General Informat ion, Specificati ons).
2.
Remove t he air cleaner as s embly.
Refer t o: Air Cleaner (303-12A Intake Ai r Dis tribut ion and Fil tering -I6 3.2L Pet rol, Removal and Ins t al lat ion).
3.
Releas e and dis connect the sel ect or l ever cable.4.
Remove t he transmis si on s elector lever.5.

Remove t he transmis si on cont rol module (TCM).
6.
Installation Inst all t he TCM.
T orque: 24 Nm 1.
Inst all t he transmis si on s elector lever.
T orque: 13 Nm 2.

CAUTIONS: Be prepared t o collect es caping oi l.
Make s ure that all openings are sealed.
Remove t he torque convert er.
Speci al Tool (s ): 307-613 5.

Carefully remove and dis card t he t orque converter fl uid
s eal.

CAUTIONS: Ext reme cl eanli ness must be exerci sed when
handl ing t his component . Make s ure that t he mat ing faces are clean and
free of foreign mat eri al.
Inst all a new torque convert er flui d s eal .
Speci al Tool (s ): 307-597 1.

CAUTIONS: Make s ure that t he mat ing faces are clean and
free of foreign mat eri al. Take extra care when handli ng the component.
Al ign t he t orque convert er and oil pump drive
before ins t al li ng the torque converter.
W hi le ins tall ing t he t orque convert er, carefully
rot ate the torque converter unt il the oi l pump
dri ve engages .

Installation

Apply a bead of s ealant, 3 mm diamet er, to the area
i ndi cat ed.
2.
Inst all t he fl uid pan.
T orque: 14 Nm 3.
Inst all t he front subframe.
Refer t o: Front Subframe (502-00 Uni -Body, Subframe and Mount ing
Syst em, Removal and Ins tall ati on).
4.
Connect t he batt ery ground cable and ins tall t he cover.
