7.INSPECT FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER ARM ASSY LH
a. As shown in Fig. 50
, flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times before installing the nut.
b. Using a torque wrench, turn the nut continuously at a rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn and take the
torque reading on the 5th turn.
Turning torque: 1.0 to 3.4 N.m (10 to 35 kgf.cm, 9 to 30 in.lbf)
If there is an
y abnormality, replace the front suspension upper arm assy LH with a new one.

8.INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER ARM ASSY LH
a. Install the front suspension upper arm assy LH with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 53 N.m (540 kgf.cm, 39 in.lbf)

9.INSTALL STEERING KNUCKLE LH
a. Install the steering knuckle LH to the upper arm assy with the castle nut.
Torque: 87 N.m (885 kgf.cm, 64 in.lbf)
b. Install a new clip on the steering knuckle.
10.INSTALL PNEUMATIC FRONT LH W/SHOCK ABSORBER CYLINDER ASSY (AIR
SUSPENSION) (See REPLACEMENT
)
11.INSTALL FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING (COIL SPRING) (See
REPLACEMENT
)
12.INSTALL SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
13.INSTALL FRONT WHEELS
Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 in.lbf)
14.ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT (See ON
-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
15.ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT (See ADJUSTMENT

REPLACEMENT
HINT:
Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1.REMOVE FRONT WHEELS
2.REMOVE LOWER BALL JOINT ASSY FRONT LH (See LOWER BALL JOINT ASSY FRONT
LH REPLACEMENT )
3.SEPARATE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR LINK SUB-ASSY FRONT
a. Remove the nut and separate the height control sensor link sub-assy front.

4.REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSY LH

a. Loosen the nut.

b. Remove the shock absorber assy lower side bolt and nut.

c. Place matchmarks on the camber adjust cam and suspension member.

d. Remove the nut, camber adjust cam and camber adjust cam bolt.
e. Remove the 2 bolts and front suspension lower arm ass
y LH.

5.REMOVE FRONT LOWER ARM BRACKET
a. Remove the nut, washer, lower arm bracket and lower arm bushing stopper.
b. Using SST and a press, remove the bushing from the lower arm bracket.

6.INSTALL FRONT LOWER ARM BRACKET
a. Using SST and a press, install the bushing to the lower arm bracket sub-assy.
SST 09613-26010, 09950-60010 (09951-00650)

b. Temporarily install the front lower arm bushing stopper, lower arm bracket and washer to the lower
arm bracket sub-ass
