Normal charging can-not be started.
There is no electrical power coming from the outlet.
Confirm that there has not been a power failure. Make sure the breaker is on. If an outlet with a timer device installed is used, power will only be available at the time set by the timer.Confirm if the POWER indicator on the control box is illuminated.
The charge connector is not connected correctly.
Confirm the charge connector is connected correctly.
The charge connector was connected and disconnected repeatedly in a short time.
Disconnect the charge connector, wait for a while, then start charging procedure again from the beginning.
A charging cable for other vehicle is used.
Use the EV charging cable only for your vehicle.
A normal charger which does not correspond to your vehi-cles is used.
Consult an administrator or a maker of the normal charger that it corresponds to your vehicle. Also perform normal charging according to the operating procedure indicated on the body of normal charger.
Reservation of charging timer is set up by MITSUBISHI Remote Control. (Vehicle with MITSUBISHI Remote Control)
The normal charging can not be started when the charging cable is connected, if the charging timer is set. Cancel all the charging timer settings, if you want to start the nor-mal charging immediately.

The MITSUBISHI Remote Control allows tooperate the vehicle within the communicationrange of the wireless LAN device (whichconforms to IEEE 802.11b and supports iOSor Android). The following operations areavailable.
zCharging timerIf you specify the charge start and/or stoptime with the normal charge cable con-nected, charging is started and/or stoppedat that time.zRemote climate controlBy setting the remote climate control tooperate at a predetermined time, cabincomfort can be improved or visibility canbe ensured (defrosting/demisting) beforegetting on the vehicle.
Normal charging is discontinued.
There is no power coming from the outlet.
There may have been a electrical power failure, or the breaker may have failed.Charging will resume when the power source is reset.
The EV charging cable has been disconnected.
Check that the EV charging cable has not been disconnected.
The button on the normal charge connector has been pressed.
If the charge connector button is pressed for a long period of time, charging will be stopped. Start the charging procedure again.
The temperature of the drive battery is too high or too low to charge.
Confirm the drive battery temperature.Refer to “Cautions and actions to deal with intense heat” on page 2-8 and “Cautions and actions to deal with intense cold” on page 2-9.
Charging is stopped by the normal charge timer.
Charging will stop depending on the timer function setting of the normal charge device. If you need to charge the drive battery more, start the charging procedure again.
The Charging timer was set up by the MITSUBISHI Remote Control after starting of normal charging.
Cancel all the charging timer settings. Charging is automatically restarted if you cancel the charging timer.

zCustomize (function setting change)The function setting of the keyless opera-tion system, security alarm, outside rear-view mirror, operation mode of the powerswitch, air conditioning, lamps and wind-screen wipers can be changed by MIT-SUBISHI Remote Control.
Devices that support wireless LAN arerequired to communicate with the vehicleusing the MITSUBISHI Remote Control.Also, an SSID* (A) and password (B) arerequired to connect a wireless LAN device tothe vehicle. The SSID and password comewith the key at the time of your purchase ofthe vehicle.
NOTE
zThe electric heater is required to activate thereservation functions of
heater, defroster and
demister.zDue to the communication distance differsdepending on the wireless LAN device, thecommunication may down.
*: An SSID is the identifier of an access

WA R N I N GzDo not use the MITSUBISHI RemoteControl if children, persons in need ofcare, pets, etc. are in the vehicle. Even ifthe remote climate control is used, thecabin may become hot or cold due to somereasons such as automatic stop of the sys-tem. The cabin temperature may quicklyrise in sunshine, which poses a risk of heatstroke and dehydration. In cold weather,on the other hand, the cabin temperaturemay quickly drop. Either of which couldlead to death in the worst case.zThe cooling fan in
the engine compart-
ment may operate automatically whencharging or when operating air condi-tioner. Do not bring you
r hand close to the
cooling fan during charging.CAUTIONzDo not use the timer charging or the remoteclimate control with a car cover.NOTE

zSome charging facilities have a timer func-tion that turns the power on or off at a spe-cific time of the day. When charging at afacility with a timer function, make sure thatthe charging timer is set within the timeperiod when the power in the charging facil-ity is on.NOTE
zThe auxiliary battery is automatically andperiodically charged using electrical powerstored in the drive battery.zWhile the remote climate control is operatingor the charging, the cooling fan or air condi-tioner compressor may start operating and itssound may be heard.
This is normal.
zThe remote climate control operates in itsown mode based on the mode selected on thewireless LAN device,
regardless of the
switch setting of the vehicle’s air condi-tioner.zAir conditioning perform
ance may deterio-
rate or the remaining quantity of the drivebattery may decrease under the followingconditions:•In extremely hot weather.•In hot sunshine.•In extremely cold weather.zIf the remote climate control is started duringcharging, the time until full charge mayextend or the charging rate may decrease.zWhen the remaining quantity of the drivebattery is decreased, the remote climate con-trol does not operate

plane. If a switch is pressed on the plane,the key emits electromagnetic waves,which could adversely affect the plane’sflight operation.When carrying a key in

pressed by mistake.

zThe key is a precision electronic part with abuilt-in signal transmitter. Please observe thefollowing in order to prevent a malfunction.•Do not leave anywhere
that is exposed to
direct sunlight, for example on the dash-board.•Do not disassem
ble or modify.
•Do not excessively bend the key or subjectit to a strong impact.•Do not expose to water.•Keep away from magnetic key rings.•Keep away from audio systems, personalcomputers, TVs, and any other equipmentthat generates a magnetic field.•Keep away from devices that emit strongelectromagnetic waves, such as cellularphones, wireless de

z[For vehicles equipped with the securityalarm system]Pay attention to the following if the securityalarm is set to “Active”.Refer to “Security alarm system” on page4-24.•If the security alarm is in the system armedmode, the alarm will

The electronic immobilizer is designed toreduce significantly the possibility of vehicletheft. The purpose of the system is to immo-bilize the vehicle if an invalid start isattempted. A valid start attempt can only beachieved by using a key “registered” to theimmobilizer system.

Press the remote control switch, and all doorsand the tailgate will be locked or unlocked asdesired. It is also possible to operate the out-side rear-view mirrors.
Press the LOCK switch (1). All the doors andthe tailgate will be locked. The turn-signallamps will blink once when the doors and thetailgate are locked.Press the UNLOCK switch (2). All the doorsand the tailgate will be unlocked. If the doorsand tailgate are unlocked when the front roomlamp switch is in the “DOOR” position or therear room lamp switch is in the middle (

All the keys have to be re-reg-istered in the immobiliser computer unit. Within 30 seconds of locking the doors andtailgate using the LOCK switch (1), press theLOCK switch twice rapidly to fold the out-side rear-view mirrors.
Within 30 seconds of unlocking the doors andtailgate using the UNLOCK switch (2), pressthe UNLOCK switch twice rapidly to returnthe outside rear-view mirrors to theirextended positions.The outside rear-view mirrors are not initiallyset to work as described above. If you wantthem to work as described above, you need toset them so that they do not retract/extendwhen the doors and tailgate arelocked/unlocked using the keyless entry sys-tem or keyless operation function.Refer to “Starting and driving: Outside rear-view mirrors” on page 7-7.For details, please consult a MITSUBISHIMOTORS Authorised Service Point.In a vehicle equipped with the MitsubishiMulti-Communication System (MMCS), it ispossible to change the setting by means ofscreen operations.Refer to the separate owner’s manual fordetails.

The door and tailgate unlock function can beset to the following two conditions.Each time the door and tailgate unlock func-tion is set, a chime will sound to tell you thecondition of the door and tailgate unlockfunction.1. Put the operation mode in OFF.2. Place the combination headlamps and dip-per switch in the “OFF” position, andleave the driver’s door open.3. Press the LOCK switch (1) for 4 to 10seconds and press the UNLOCK switch(2) during this time.
4. Release in sequence the LOCK andUNLOCK switches within 10 seconds ofpressing the LOCK switch in step 3.
