Remove t he li cens e plat e lamps .
4. Remove t he power l iftgat e s wit ch.

Installation Inst all t he power l iftgat e s wit ch.

Inst all t he li cens e plat e lamps .
2.
Inst all t he li cens e plat e housi ng and ti ghten t he nuts .
T orque: 5 Nm 3.
Inst all t he li ft gat e t ri m panel.

Remove t he li ft gat e.

clean and free of foreign materi al.
Inst all t he li ft gat e.
T orque: 24 Nm 1.
Connect t he was her jet hos e.

At tach t he li ft gat e wi ri ng harness .

Connect t he li ft gat e wi ri ng harnes s electrical connect ors .
4.
W it h the lift gat e clos ed, check the al ignment of the l iftgat e to the
roof panel and bodys ide panel . The li ft gat e s hould be central in i ts
apert ure.
5.
Loosen, but do not remove t he li ft gat e hi nge bol ts .
6.
Pos it ion t he li ft gat e central to t he apert ure.
7.
Tight en the liftgat e hinge bolt s .
T orque: 24 Nm 8.
At tach t he rear of the headli ner.
9.
Inst all t he LH D-pi ll ar upper trim panel .
Refer t o: D-Pi llar Trim Panel (501-05 Int eri or Trim and
Ornament ati on, Removal and Ins tal lat ion).
10.
Check for correct operati on of the lift gat e, and if neces s ary adjus t
t he li ft gat e s t ri ker.

Inst all t he A-pi llar t ri m panel and ti ght en t he new Torx screw to 3Nm (2.2 l b.ft ).
