F Place the foot of the jack 2 on the ground a
nd ensure that it is directly below the
f
ront A or rear B jacking point provided on
t
he underbody, whichever is closest to the
w
heel to be changed. F
E xtend the jack 2 until its head comes into contact with the jacking point A or B used; the v
ehicle’s contact sur face at A or B must engage with the central part of the head of the jack.
F
R
aise the vehicle until there is sufficient space between the wheel and the ground to admit the
s
pare (not punctured) wheel easily.
Ensure
that the jack is stable. If the ground is slippery or loose, the jack might slip or drop -
R
isk of injury!
Take
care to position the jack only at one of the vehicle’s jacking points A or B
under the vehicle,
e
nsuring that the contact sur face of the vehicle’s jacking point is centred on the head of the jack.
O
ther wise there is a risk of damage to the vehicle and/or that the jack might drop - Risk of injury!

Fitting a wheel
Fitting the spare wheel
If your vehicle is fitted with alloy wheels, when tightening the bolts on fitting, it is
n
ormal

ome into contact with the spare wheel.
T
he wheel is secured by the conical
s
ur face of each bolt.
After changing a wheel
When using a "space-saver" type of spare wheel, do not exceed 50 mph
(80
km/h).
Have
the tightening of the bolts and the
p
ressure of the spare wheel checked
b
y a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
w
orkshop without delay.
Have
the punctured wheel repaired
a
nd refitted to the vehicle as soon as
p
ossible.
Stowing the wheel with
punctured tyre
The wheel with punctured tyre can be stowed under the floor, in the housing
f
or the standard spare wheel.
To
stow an alloy wheel, first remove the
t
rim
f
rom
t
he
m
iddle
o
f
t
he
w
heel
s
o
t
hat
t
he fixing parts (nut and bolt) can be put
i
n place.
In
the case of a "space-saver" type
s
pare wheel, the wheel with punctured
t
yre cannot be stowed under the floor. It
m
ust be stowed in the boot; use a cover
t
o protect the inside of the boot.

Snow chains
In wintry conditions, snow chains improve traction as well as the behaviour of the vehicle when braking.Advice on installation
F If you have to fit the chains during a j
ourney, stop the vehicle on a flat sur face

n the side of the road.

pply the parking brake and position any

heel chocks to prevent movement of your

ehicle.

it the chains following the instructions

rovided by the manufacturer.

ove off gently and drive for a few

oments, without exceeding 30 mph
(
50 km/h).

top your vehicle and check that the snow

hains are correctly tightened.

It
is
strongly
recommended
that
before
y
ou
leave,
you
practise
fitting
the
snow
c
hains
on
a
level
and
dry
sur face. Avoid
driving with snow chains on roads
t
hat have been cleared of snow, to
a
void damaging your vehicle's tyres and
t
he road sur face. If your vehicle is fitted
w
ith alloy wheels, check that no part of
t
he chain or its fixings is in contact with
t
he wheel rim.
Take
account
of
the
legislation
in
force
i
n your country on the use of snow
chains
and
the
maximum
running
speed
a
uthorised.
The
snow
chains
must
be
fitted
only
t
o
the
front
wheels.
They
must
never
b
e
fitted
to
"space-saver"
type
spare
w
heels.

Changing a bulb
Front lamps
In some weather conditions (e.g. low temperature or humidity), the presence
o
f misting on the internal sur face of the
g
lass of the headlamps and rear lamps
i
s normal; it disappears after the lamps
h
ave been on for a few minutes.
The
headlamps
are
fitted
with
p
olycarbonate
glass
with
a
protective
c
oating:
F
d
o not clean them using a dr y
or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,
F
u
se
a
sponge
and
soapy
water
or
a
p
H
neutral
product,
F
w
hen
using
a
high
pressure
washer
o
n
persistent
marks,
do
not
keep
t
he
lance
directed
towards
the
l
amps
or
their
edges
for
too
long,
s
o
as
not
to
damage
their
protective
c
oating
a
nd
sea
ls.
Changing
a
bulb
should
only
be
done
a
fter
the
headlamp
has
been
switched
o
ff
for
several
minutes
(risk
of
serious
b
urns).
F
D
o
not
touch
the
bulb
directly
with
y
our
fingers,
use
a
lint-free
cloth.
It
is
imperative
to
use
only
anti-
ultraviolet
(UV)
type
bulbs
to
avoid
d
amaging
t
he
h
eadlamp.
Always
replace
a
failed
bulb
with
a
n
ew
bulb
with
the
same
type
and
s
pecification. 1.

Amber coloured bulbs, such as the direction indicators, must be replaced
w
ith bulbs of identical specifications
a
nd colour.
When
refitting, close the protective
c
over carefully to preserve the sealing
o
f the headlamp.
Rapid
flashing
of
the
direction
indicator
w
arning
lamp
(right
or
left)
indicates
the
f
ailure
of
a
bulb
on
that
side.
Changing direction indicator
bulbs
F Turn the bulb holder an eighth of a turn a
nti-clockwise and extract it.

emove the bulb and change it.

reassemble, carry out these operations in

Changing main beam headlamp
bulbs
F Remove the protective cover by pulling on t
he tab.

isconnect the bulb connector.

ush the spring to one side to release

he bulb.

Changing front foglamp
bulbs
F Access to the front foglamp is through the a
perture below the bumper.

f necessary, unscrew and completely
r
emove the cover.
F

urn the bulb holder a quarter turn anti-
clockwise
and pull it out.
F
D
isconnect the bulb connector.
F
R
emove the bulb and change it.
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse
o r d e r. If
you experience any difficulty in
r
eplacing bulbs, contact your CITROËN
d
ealer or a qualified workshop.
Changing direction indicator side
repeaters
F Insert a screwdriver towards the centre of t
he repeater between the repeater and the
b
ase on the body.
F
T
ilt the screwdriver to extract the repeater
a
nd remove it.
F
D
isconnect the repeater connector.
F
R
eplace the module.
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse
o r d e r.
Contact
a CITROËN dealer or
a
qualified workshop to obtain a
r
eplacement side repeater module.

Changing bulbs
These bulbs are changed from inside the boot:

pen the boot,

emove the access grille from the
c
orresponding side trim panel,
F
s
lacken and remove the nut,
F
d
isconnect the lamp unit connector,
F
u
nclip the lamp unit by lowering the tongue
a
nd carefully extract it pulling in line
t
owards the outside, F
r
emove the four screws and lift off the bulb
h
o l d e r,
F
t
urn the failed bulb a quarter of a turn and
c
hange
it
.
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse
o r d e r.
Take
care to engage the lamp unit in its guides,
w
hile keeping it in line with the vehicle.
Tighten
sufficiently to ensure sealing, but
w
ithout
d
amaging
t
he
lam
p.

from

cover

you
and

isengage

isconnect
the
lamp
connector,

nclip
the
bulb
holder
by
lifting
the
two
lugs
a
nd
remove
it,

eplace
the
failed
bulb.
