After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the
b o o t c o r r e c t l y , fi r s t r e m o v e t h e c e n -
tral cover.
Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer
without delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as
soon as possible.
Fitting the wheel
List of operations
Put the wheel in place on the hub.
Screw in the bolts by hand to the
stop.
Pre-tighten the security bolt us-
ing the wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e
security socket 4 (if your vehicle is
e q u i p p e d w i t h t h i s ) .
Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Lower the vehicle fully.
Fold the jack 2 and detach it.
Tighten the security bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e s e c u r i t y
socket 4 (if your vehicle is equipped
w i t h t h i s ) .
Lock the other bolts using the wheel-
brace 1 only.
R e fi t t h e c h r o m e d b o l t c o v e r s o n
each of the bolts.

CHANGING A BULB
Procedure for the replacement of a
faulty bulb with a new bulb without the
use of tools.
1. Direction indicators
(PY 21 W amber).
2. Sidelamps
(W5W).
3. Dipped
beam
headlamps (H7-55W).
4. Main beam headlamps (H1-55W).
5. Directional headlamps (H7-55W).
6. Foglamps
(H11-55W). Changing the direction indicator
bulbs
Handle the bulbs with a dry
cloth.
T h e h e a d l a m p s a r e fi t t e d w i t h p o l y -
carbonate glass with a protective
c o a t i n g :
do not clean them using a dry
or abrasive cloth, or using a
detergent or solvent product,
use a sponge and soapy water.
In certain climatic conditions (low
t e m p e r a t u r e , h u m i d i t y ) ,
condensa-
tion on the internal surface of the
glass of the headlamps and rear
lamps
is normal ; it disappears a
few minutes after the lamps are
switched on . Model with elliptical module dipped
beam headlamps and directional
headlamps
Amber coloured bulbs, such as the
direction indicators, must be re-
placed with bulbs of identical speci-
fi c a t i o n a n d c o l o u r .
Turn the bulb holder one quarter of
a turn and remove it.
Pull the bulb then change it.

Changing the sidelamp bulbs
Disconnect the main headlamp con-
nector.
Remove the plastic protective cover
by pulling on the tab.
Turn the bulb holder one quarter of
a turn and remove it.
Pull the bulb and change it.
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n r e -
verse order.
Changing the dipped, main beam or
directional headlamps
Disconnect the main headlamp con-
nector.
Remove the corresponding plastic
protective cover by pulling on the tab.
Disconnect the connector of the cor-
responding lamp.
Move aside the spring to release the
bulb and remove the bulb.
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n r e -
verse order. Changing the integrated direction
indicator side repeaters
Insert a screwdriver towards the
centre of the repeater between the
repeater and the base of the mirror.
T i l t t h e s c r e w d r i v e r t o e x t r a c t t h e r e -
peater and remove the repeater.
Disconnect the repeater connector.
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n
reverse order.
To obtain a replacement repeater,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Changing the foglamp bulbs
For replacement of these bulbs, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer.

T h e s e b u l b s ( w i t h t h e e x c e p t i o n o f t h e
d i o d e l a m p s ) a r e c h a n g e d f r o m o u t s i d e
t h e b o o t :
r e m o v e t h e l a m p fi x i n g b o l t ,
remove the lamp from the outside,
disconnect the lamp connector,
remove the lamp seal,
press the four tabs and remove the
bulb holder,
turn the bulb one quarter of a turn
and change it.

audio system, on the right-hand
s i d e , o p e n t h e fl a p fi r s t t o g a i n a c -
c e s s t o t h e fi x i n g b o l t .
Amber coloured bulbs, such as the
direction indicators, must be re-
placed with bulbs of identical speci-
fi c a t i o n a n d c o l o u r .
For the replacement of diode lamps,

Changing the third brake lamp bulbs
(4 bulbs W 5 W)
P r e s s o n t h e fi x i n g p i n s o n e a c h s i d e
of the lamp.
Remove the lamp from the outside.
Turn the bulb holder which corre-
sponds to the faulty bulb one quarter
of a turn and remove it.
Pull the bulb and change it. Changing the number plate lamp
bulbs (W 5 W)
Insert a thin screwdriver in one of
t h e e x t e r i o r h o l e s o f t h e l e n s .
Push it towards the outside to unclip it.
Remove the lens.
Pull the bulb and change it.
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n
reverse order.
High pressure washing
When using this type of washing
on stubborn dirt, do not persist
on the headlamps, the lamps and
their surrounds, to avoid damaging
their protective coating and seals.

take out the lamp from the outside,
press on the four tabs and remove

turn the bulb a quarter of a turn and
change it.

verse order.
Take care to engage the lamp in its
guides keeping it in the centreline of the
vehicle.
T i g h t e n t h e fi x i n g b o l t s u f fi c i e n t l y b y
hand to guarantee the sealing of the
lamp.
Amber coloured bulbs, such as the
direction indicators, must be replaced
w i t h b u l b s o f i d e n t i c a l s p e c i fi c a t i o n
and colour.

CHANGING A FUSE
Procedure for the replacement of a
faulty fuse with a new fuse in order to
rectify a failure of the corresponding
function.

push the opening guide to the left to

o p e n t h e g l o v e b o x l i d f u l l y ,

the top, Replacing a fuse
Before replacing a fuse, the cause of
t h e f a i l u r e m u s t b e i d e n t i fi e d a n d r e c t i -
fi e d .
I d e n t i f y t h e f a u l t y f u s e b y e x a m i n i n g
t h e c o n d i t i o n o f i t s fi l a m e n t .
U s e t h e s p e c i a l p l i e r s t o e x t r a c t t h e
fuse from its housing.
Always replace the faulty fuse with a
fuse of the same rating.
Check that the number engraved
o n t h e b o x a n d t h e r a t i n g e n g r a v e d
on the top correspond to the tables
which follow.
