6. Remove the eight screws, then remove the steering

column covers.

7. Disconnect the 30P connectors from both sides of

the gauge assembly.

8. Lay a protective cloth on the combination switches

to prevent scratching the gauge assembly. Remove

the four screws, then take out the gauge assembly

as shown.

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

Replacement

1. Disconnect the 3P connector from the vehicle speed

sensor (VSS).

3P CONNECTOR

MOUNTING BOLTS

2. Remove the mounting bolts and the VSS, then take

out the VSS assembly.

NOTE: The VSS drive link is a very small part, be

careful not to lose it.

3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

pointe r o f th e fue l gaug e start s movin g towar d th e
&#34;F &#34; mark .
