INSPECTION WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY CHECK
CAUTION: Ensure that the backings are bent in the direction
indicated, and then install the backings to the wiper
blade rubber.CAUTION: When clamping the windshield wiper motor and link
assembly in a vise, be sure that the link is free to

1. Clamp the windshield wiper motor and link assembly in a vise as shown.

2. Connect the windshield wi
per motor connector terminal number 5 to
ground. move.

3. Check to see that the windshield wiper motor runs at high speed when
connecting the positive battery terminal to windshield wiper motor connector
terminal number 2.

4. Check to see that the windshield wiper motor runs at low speed when
connecting the positive battery terminal to windshield wiper motor connector
terminal number 1.

5. Disconnect the positive battery terminal to windshield wiper motor connector
terminal number 1 with the windshield wiper motor running at low speed.
6. Check to see that the motor stops.

7. Connect windshield wiper motor connector terminal 1 to terminal 4.

8. Connect positive battery terminal to windshield wiper motor connector
terminal number 3.
9. Check to see that the windshield wiper motor runs at low speed and then
