7. Remove springretainer andreturn springs.
8. Remove forwardclutchpiston withoverrun clutchpiston
from forward clutchdrum

turning it.
9. Remove overrunclutchpiston fromforward clutchpiston by
turning it.

6. Install spring retainer onreturn springs.

Allowable limit1.85mm(0.0728 in)

14. Check operation offorward clutch.
Refer to"DISASSEMBLY" in"Forward ClutchandOverrun

3. Install piston assembly ontransmission casewhile turning
it slowly.

• Apply ATFtoinner surface oftransmission case.

4. Install returnsprings andspring retainer onpiston.
