4. Apply primer to the mating face of the glass.
5. Apply primer to the mating face of the body.
6. Cut the nozzle of the JLM20452 glass bonding adhesive to
achieve a triangular section bead 8 mm (0.32 in) wide by 10
mm (0.4 in) high.
7. Using the special tool, apply a uni form bead of adhesive to the
rear quarter window glass edge commencing at the bottom
center and overlapping the ends approximately 14 mm (0.56
in).

8. CAUTIONS:
When installing the rear quarte r window glass, do not strike it in any way as this will crack the rear quarter window glass.
Make sure the rear quarter window glass does not move
out of position in the body aperture.
• NOTE: Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.
Install the rear quar ter window glass into the aperture. Make
sure the rear quarter window glas s finisher is correctly located
to the roof moulding and press firmly into place.
9. CAUTION: Make sure the rear quarter window glass does
not move out of position in the rear quarter window glass
aperture.
• NOTE: Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.
Apply suitable tape to the top of the rear quarter window glass.
10. Install both C-pillar trim panels.

11. Install the rear seat backrest.

1. CAUTION: Make sure the rear window finisher insert is
not bent on removal. Failure to fo llow this instruction may result
in damage to the component.
Remove the rear window finisher insert.

Installation
15. Remove the lifting handles from the rear window glass.
16. Remove cheese wire cutting tool from the vehicle, separate
handles by moving centre tubes upwards and discard cheese
wire.
1. WARNINGS:
If the rear window glass is being installed at a temperature
of 23°C (73°F) or above make sure the vehicle is not driven for at
least 1 hour after installation.
If the rear window glass is being installed at a temperature
of 11°C (52°F) make sure the vehicl e is not driven for at least 1.5
hours after installation.
If the rear window glass is being installed at a temperature
of 5°C (41°F) make su re the vehicle is not driven for at least 2
hours after installation.
If the rear window glass is being installed at a temperature
below 5°C (41°F) use heat and ma ke sure the rear window glass
adhesive has set before the vehicle is driven.
• NOTE: To aid bonding of a new re ar window glass, make sure at
least 1 mm (0.04 in) of residual adhesive remains on the body
flange.
• NOTE: If the original rear window glass is to be installed remove
the residual adhesive from rear window glass mating surface
using a suitable scraper.
Using the special tool, remove any residual adhe sive from the
body.
2. Remove protective tape from around rear window glass
aperture.

3. Thoroughly clean rear window glass surface using Betawipe
spirit.
4. Apply primer to mating face of rear window glass.
5. Apply glass primer to the mating face of the body flange.
6. Cut the nozzle of the JLM20452 glass bonding adhesive to
achieve a triangular section bead 8mm ( 0.32 in) wide by
10mm (0.4 in) high.
7. Using the special tool, apply a uni form bead of adhesive to the
rear window glass edge, commen cing at bottom center and
overlapping the ends approximately 14 mm (0.56 in).

8. CAUTIONS:
When installing the rear window glass, do not strike it in

Make sure the rear window glass does not move out of
position in the rear window glass aperture.
With assistance carefully install the rear window glass into the
aperture. Align the rear window glass with the body markings
and press firmly into place.
9. Remove the lifting handles.
10. Remove protective tape from rear edge of headlining.
11. CAUTION: Do not connect the electrical connectors for
at least 1 hour after installation of the rear window glass. Failure
to follow these instructions may result in damage to the rear
window glass adhesive.
• NOTE: Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.
Connect the electrical connector.
12. CAUTION: Do not connect the electrical connectors for
at least 1 hour after installation of the rear window glass. Failure
to follow these instructions may result in damage to the rear
window glass adhesive.
Connect the radio antenna electrical connector.
13. Install the parcel shelf.

14. Install the C-pillar trim panel.

1. Remove both A- pill ar trim panels.

2. Remove both sun visors.

3. Remove the overhead console.

4. Remove the wiper pivot arm.

5. Remove the cowl panel grille.

6. CAUTION: Make sure the front windshield finisher insert
is not bent on removal. Failure to follow this instruction may
result in damage to the component.
Remove the windshield finisher insert.

commencing downwards and along the bottom.
15. With assistance and exercising care, remove the windshield
glass.
1. Attach lifting handles to windshield glass.
2. Remove the windshield glass.
16. Remove lifting handles from windshield glass.
17. Remove cheese wire cutter fro m windshield glass aperture,
remove cutting handles and discard cheese wire.
1. WARNINGS:

Using the special tool, remove any residual adhe sive from the
body.
2. Remove the protective tape from around windshield glass
aperture.
3. Apply glass primer to the mating face of the body flange.

9. NOTE: Follow the manufacturers operating instructions.
Using the special tool, apply a uni form bead of adhesive to the
windshield glass edge commenc ing at bottom center and
overlapping the ends approximately 14 mm (0.56 in).
10. CAUTIONS:

way as this will crack the windshield glass.
Make sure the windshield glass does not move out of
position in the windshield glass aperture.
With assistance carefully install windshield glass into the
aperture. Align the windshield glass with the body markings
and press firmly into place.
11. Remove the lifting handles.
12. CAUTION: Make sure the windshield glass does not
move out of position in the windshield glass aperture.
Apply suitable tape to the to p of the windshield glass.
13. Install the cowl panel grille.

14. Install the wiper pivot arm.

26. Remove steering column tilt adjustme nt motor harness
multiplug from retaining bracke t and disconnect multiplug.
27. Remove bolt securing facia moun ting bracket to RH side of
tunnel.
28. Remove facia RH end aperture trim pad.
29. CAUTION: The 'A' post facia mounting brackets are pre-
set to the body and must no t under any circumstances be
disturbed.
Remove two bolts securing facia to RH 'A' post mounting
bracket.
