WINDOW REGULATOR, GLASS, AND GUIDE s Forward/backward adjustment of door glass 1. Loosen the window regulator upper installation nuts and the glass guide upper installation nut. 2. Move the window regulator and glass guide forward or backward so that the side edge of the door glass u is in the correct ~osition. 3. Tighten the installation nuts. Tightening torque: 22-27 N-m (2.2-2.8 kgf-m, 16-20 ft-lbf) AHEAD TOO FAR CORRECT POSITION SEC. WINDOW REGULATOR, GLASS, AND GUIDE After completion of adjustment 1. Verify the following with the weatherstrip removed: (1) When the door glass is raised, the lower glass stoppers contact the upper glass stoppers simulta- neously. (2) The door glass is in the correct position when fully closed. 2. Verify the following with the weatherstrip installed: (1) he door glass raises and lowers smoothly with the door closed. (2) Alignment of the weatherstrip is correct (convertible top only). The trunk lid may fall and injure you. Open the trunk lid fully and se- cure it before removing the balance spring. 1. Lift the balance spring with a protected screwdriver. 2. Remove the balance spring. Adjustment Trunk lid Loosen the trunk lid mounting nuts and adjust as shown. Balance spring Slide the balance spring to the desired position as described below with a protected screwdriver. s POWER WINDOW SYSTEM FDB POWER WINDOW SWITCH Inspection 1. Check for continuity between terminals of the switch with an ohmmeter. O--O: Indicates continuity 2. If not as specified, replace the switch. POWER WINDOW REGULATOR lnspection 1. Connect battery positive voltage to terminal A and L' ground terminal B of the motor connector. Verify that the motor operates. 2. Reverse the above connections and check for reverse operation of the motor. 3. If not as specified, replace the motor. Gartner Banana
